HAPPY 10TH BIRTHDAY TO UNDERTALE!! 🌻❤️

For the anniversary I decided to redraw my first online drawing I've posted for Undertale but also on DeviantArt :). The first version was from 2016 (I don't have any of my 2013-2015 art so unfortunately I will never know what my first Undertale drawing truly was) and the second one was from 2018 :).

Okay funs over now I'm going to overshare because it's MY page and MY rules.

It was really funny trying to fill out the Undertale memo thing because I was really struggling to put into words how much the game means to me. Whenever I think about Undertale so many things come to mind. The passion for art and music Toby and Temmie have given me, something to play and experience with my brothers, an online space where I could share my thoughts, opinions, and art (rest in peace Google+), and also something to tie my personal story and struggles to. This game has not only given me a distraction throughout the years, but has always given me a strong sense of hope and determination. That if I just keep going then maybe everything will be okay. There is a very real reality where the 2016 version of this drawing wouldn't have existed. Nor the 2018 version. Nor this version. Undertale is a big aspect to why these things are here and why I am still here.

This is actually kind of embarrassing but every Undertale anniversary has been a moment of reflection for me, but this feels a lot stronger. Thinking about how I was at 9 years old playing the game for the first time after everything I've been through, to now where I am now and all the things that have happened in-between. I've come a long way and always have something deep inside me fighting to continue everyday. That's something I wouldn't have without this game, and that's the best way I can start to describe how much Undertale means to me.
