Wow, Ink, you have so many Noran figures~ Do you have all five?

Ink:
Of course. Tofu, Ume, Maru, Cookie, and Mila. The full set.
I don't like leaving a collection half-finished.
And you're the one who got me into them in the first place.

Rina:
Hehe~ Rina likes Cookie the most.
She's all soft and cuddly because she was designed to take care of children,
but she still acts so much like a real cat.

Ink:
That's part of their charm, isn't it? Their bodies may be artificial and human-like,
but deep down, they're still cats.

Rina:
Mhm~ But in the story, they're not just cats anymore.
They can be pets, assistants, and... um, other kinds of companions too.
Pretty much whatever their owner wants them to be, right~?

Ink:
...Hmm. You really did read all the details, didn't you?

Rina:
Ehh~? Rina takes her manga seriously, you know~

Ink:
At first, I couldn't believe you'd actually be into something this dark.
I'm starting to see you in a whole new light now.

Rina:
There are way more cheerful parts than dark ones, you know...

Ink:
Speaking of cats, that just reminded me of Kitties and Tealeaves.
Wanna go there this evening?

Rina:
Yes, yes, yes~!

From now on, I think I’ll use short stories or brief conversations alongside illustrations.

I think this is the best way for me to explain the story behind each image.

I’m not really a fan of putting speech balloons directly into the artwork. It’s just not something I’m very comfortable with.

That doesn’t mean I’m going to stop doing it, though. I’ll still use speech balloons whenever I feel they fit.
