A top, usually a tank top or sleeveless shirt, that is cut short, designed to expose the wearer's midriff, or navel, sometimes even revealing underboob.
A crop top and crop top overhang are frequently signature elements in the outfit of Shimakaze (kancolle) from Kantai Collection and Matoi Ryuuko from Kill La Kill.
