The planet Alupa.

On the world where I was born, all power is held by only a portion of the nobility, and the disparity of wealth is severe.

The laws are imposed by the nobles for the nobles.

The lives of the common folk hold less weight than lint.

We lived as a family of three: my mother, myself, and my little brother.

My father had already passed away.

Since giving birth to us, my mother spent her life bedridden...

...but thanks to the hunting skills our father taught us while he was alive...

...the three of us were living happily and peacefully, if poorly.

Then came the day I turned 12.
