Akagi. Have you ever heard of Musashino-udon?
Ehh... Udon?
But i want to eat something that is filling...
Something that pack a punch!
Hmhm... How uninformed you are.
This is not your ordinary Udon.
Musashino-Udon
The appeal of Musashino-udon Number 1
The toughness!!
I can't bite it off!
You need to stuff it all in one go.
Number 2
Meat broth as the default!!
There's a lot of ingredients in it! How pleasant!!
The soup is also plenty.
Tougher than Sanuki udon, eating it will surely make your jaw sore. Despite that, the taste is still exquisite.
Filled with meat fat and soup, it is delicious. Meat stock (pork), Chicken stock and Curry soup is their basics. The usual servings and soups are also available, though it is pretty obvious that they have it.
Number 3
The amount is free-for-all!!
The selection is amazing!!!
You're still going to choose the bigger ones, isn't it?
Most store uses either the S-M-L sizes or weigh in grams. The M and L sizes are very plentiful (Similar to 1kg in stores that weighs) People who ate the big size udon tend to make the statement "I can't finish it"
Nice! This is good stuff!!!
I did it.
Takekuni Beef broth Udon Large serving (700g)
"Musashino", an area located around southwest Saitama and west of Tokyo has a Udon eating culture dating from the old times. They grow wheat on that area, despite not in abundance which makes Udon their everyday meal. Using their locally-made flour, They made a hand-made, light brown colored wheat noodle with it.
A ball of boiled udon sold in supermarket. 180-200g
Takekuni's specialty is that it's considered a well balanced food among the Musashino Udons. They sold it everywhere in the heart of Torokozawa. It's convenient and also cheap. A real treat. Sometimes they also offer an "all you can eat Udon" at certain times as well!!
The top bowl is bigger than a soba's bowl. It's around the size of a Mini-don
It's around here.
