I regret that I didn't notice it sooner. Since it was molting and didn't eat much, I let my guard down because it would still eat crickets if I tossed them in when it opened its mouth to threaten me, even while making a strange face. I thought I had taken sufficient care of the temperature and environment, but it's lonely when a creature you cherished passes away. I buried it at the base of a tree in a quiet area of a nearby park where people rarely go. Only the empty cage, without its owner to care for it, remains in the room.
