kettle
Other names: 薬缶, ヤカン, ケトル, 烧水壶
A container for boiling water. Stovetop kettles are normally metal and have a lid, spout, and handle. The handle is generally placed at the top so that the kettle can be hung over an open fire.
For the large cooking/boiling pots used over an open flame, use the cauldron tag instead.
