all choices lead to game over.

(wei wuxian version)

[image is a stylized drawing of jin guangyao standing against a yellow backdrop. countless colourless, disembodied hands, all richly dressed in brocaded fabric and gold jewellery, reach from the bottom of the image to snatch at his hair and clothes as if meaning to drag him down; one is covering his mouth, another knocking his hat from his head. with his face in profile, only one of his eyes is visible; he looks tired, almost resigned. at the top are written two phrases in bitmap text, formatted like a video game selection field: “be good” and “survive”. the second phrase is in bold, as though to indicate that it’s the current selection.]
