You may not believe me... but I wasn't always this awful.

I used to rent a shabby apartment.

I worked multiple part-time jobs at the same time to get by. I was diligent in my research, and after one of my papers was recognized, I earned my Ph.D. at the age of 25.

I planned to keep working as a researcher after that.

Things were often tough, but I loved that place.

I even dreamed of making a new drug.

Back then, I wouldn't cooperate with murderers for 100 million

since I wanted to be someone useful in the public eye.

But I ran away from struggling in that world...

and so I thought I'd never think about research again.

I've been thinking about those days a lot lately.
