On the table there were two cups of barely tea. 「Nice work today.」 「Thank you. It's quite unusual for you to be up this early isn't it?」 The glass cups were cold with cool droplets of water coating them. Usually I'm the one who prepares them, I wonder what's happened today. 「Lately here there haven't really been any incidents, and aside from your training and cleaning the garden, you've been bored haven't you?」 「Huh? I wouldn't particularly say I've been bored though.」 'Rather, the one that's been bored would be you would it not?' Is what I wanted to say, but I refrained. 「I hope aside from shopping, you have fun in the village once in a while. After all, it is that 'summer vacation' isn't it?」 Just what kind of wind is blowing? As far as I can recall up to now, I've hardly ever had anything like a day off. Is this a test for me? 「I'll give you a little reward, so go get some eel or something to eat.」 ...As far as I can recall up to now, I've hardly ever been paid.

「Um, in that case, it'd be fine if you joined as well wouldn't it Yuyuko-sama?」 「No. If a ghost were to pay a visit to village during the day, it would be startling would it not?」 Though me a half phantom is fine? 「It's fine, alright?」 She pat my still slightly sweaty head with a pleasant expression she didn't normally show. I was embarrassed and a little perplexed. I wonder what kind of face I just was making. A single breeze blew into the room, the wind chimes gently rang delightfully. In any case, it was a precious day off I was given. I'll try to enjoy it. I opened the front door to the rising curtains of the cicadas large chorus. Yeah, it seems today too will be hot. 「I'm off.」
