Media asset #1
Come on, don't say that... For starters, I'll introduce one that's been my favourite recently!
Even though you have such skinny wrists, you sure love big watches...
A large titanium divers watch. I don't have a habit of going to the beach or anything, but divers watches like these have easy to read faces which I like.
This is one of those solar radio watches that have been popular recently.
Light
Radio
Of course, I brought it because I like the design.
Heh, is that so.
So anyway, what is a radio watch? I pretty much get the solar bit.
A standard time signal is transmitted from two places in Japan,
and this watch receives that, so it always shows the correct time. Incidentally, the atomic clocks the standard time service uses have an error of less than one second every 300,000 years.
* A typical quartz watch has an error of around 1 second every 2 days.
Really? That's amazing!
So it's basically a watch that just keeps going and going without any error at all, right?
Well, in reality it's difficult to get a signal inside, and when it doesn't have a signal it's only as accurate as a normal quartz watch.
And the battery inside gets worse over time, so that limits how long the watch lasts for.
So radio watches aren't infallible either, huh.
Having said that, I still recommend a solar radio watch. There's been some cheaper ones coming out recently, so try buying one to try it out!
OVERLAND solar radio watch
About 10,000 yen on Amazon. The design isn't bad so I brought one to try it out, but it's a surprisingly solid bit of gear. Recommended!
The G-Shock is good too!
