As night fell, the elven girl developed a high fever. Fatigue was certainly a part of it, but there was a high probability that it was also caused by inflammation in the scars all over her body, as well as infection running rampant in her internal organs. At this point, there may be no other choice but to amputate her limbs...

For now, I'll prepare a simple oral medication with fever reducing and anti-bacterial properties. I infused it with the native elderberries and starflower, and added in mana quartz ground to a fine powder. The taste is truly unpleasant to drink, so I masked it with rock salt and honey before pouring it into her mouth.

For awhile, her breathing was shallow and mixed with delirious mumbling, but as the medicine began to take effect, she passed into peaceful sleep. While watching over her carefully and mulling her medical treatment, night gave way to dawn.
