Illustrated Encyclopedia of Dangerous Parasites
Mock Animal Ears
As their name suggests, the Mock Animal Ears family have a shape that imitates a pair of animal ears. They're remarkable parasites that take up residence on people's heads.
Another notable attribute is the reproductive organs which take the shape of a tail, appearing on maturity in the host's lower back region.
The young, which look like a hairball, are spread by the wind, and after sticking to a person's head, take a few hours to plant their roots. Once this is done, they cannot be removed. The host cannot be saved. Abandon all hope.
The life cycle of Mock Animal Ears
  • The young, which look like a hairball, are shedded.
  • They stick to a person's head.
  • Within a few hours, they appear in the shape of animal ears.
  • They spread through the host's body by growing along the spine.
  • After about a month, the reproductive organs, in the shape of a tail, develop on the host's waist.
  • They take control of the host.

  • Sometimes, multiple sets of reproductive organs ("tails") appear after a year.
