Asa (albeit written with a different kanji) can also mean "hemp", [i]i.e.[/i] the plant [i]Cannabis sativa[/i]. So, stretching a bit, Asagumo can be read as "marijuana cloud", tying in to the "Yamagumo is perpetually high on something" joke, which is also a running gag for Misumi's comics.
