✦ Prologue: A Wish
“My wish?”
“My wish is…”
A boy had fallen into a very, very long dream.
Within that dream, like an afterimage left behind by something long past… he saw a blank figure swaying amidst an endless sea of wheat, its silhouette forever beyond his sight.
Translations: 中文, 日本語, 한국어, and Русский
At first, the empty soul gazed from afar toward the boundless horizon. In that distant world at the edge of everything, the innocent boy believed that he was far, far away from all his troubles…
Then, further into the dream…

He saw himself hailed as the perfect hero, the flawless “Deliverer,”
A sublime existence bearing the weight of all things. With a crown upon his head, like one bestowed upon a divine, he embarked upon an eternal journey–

He fought his way through countless trials. The sword that had once been raised to cut open the dawn, once wielded to uphold justice… how had it come to be stained with the blood of so many cherished companions?
Hunting gods. Seizing Coreflames.

The cruel truths hidden behind lies. Sacrifices beyond measure, all to obtain a “future” that had yet to take shape.
To overturn the final end.
To welcome the arrival of a true “tomorrow”-
And yet, there, at the “end” of that story:
There, when the protagonist was left with almost nothing but a self that had been burned away, consumed into nothingness…
Fate began to turn in a way it never had before.
And the story began its new chapter-
That prophesied hero, he…
Phainon awoke from his dream.
Every time he woke, his chest would tremble violently, as though everything he had experienced within that dream had once happened somewhere, sometime, as though it had truly happened.
“Ha… this dream again…”
He spoke to himself with a wry smile, as though greeting an old friend he would occasionally encounter after a long absence.
Yet there was one strange thing.
He could never see what ultimately became of that boy…
What, exactly, was his fate?
But today, there was something more important waiting for him.

✦ Phainon Cafe Special
HoYoLAB 2.0 Phainon Character Channel Event: The Grand Chrysos Cafe Special
Over the years, business at the Grand Chrysos Theme Park had flourished, and the Chrysos Cafe, one of its beloved destinations, had grown into the place Phainon had always envisioned.
Its distinctive blue-and-white architecture, expansive floor-to-ceiling windows, and airy three-storey layout gave the cafe a bright, modern charm. A small indoor pool had also been added to the renovated first floor, where adorable baby seals happily played beneath the light filtering through the glass.
The seals had since become one of the cafe’s most recognisable symbols, appearing throughout its decorations, menu items, and merchandise.
And at the heart of it all was still the cafe’s ever-handsome owner, Phainon.
As the years passed, Phainon’s sense of taste gradually matured, and the cafe evolved alongside him. From its architecture and furnishings to its colours and decorations, every detail reflected his growing sense of style and personal touch.

Perhaps that was why, after all these years, the cafe had become more than just a popular destination within the Grand Chrysos Theme Park.
On this special day, everyone received an invitation from Phainon and gathered together at the newly renovated Phainon Cafe.
And while everyone had assumed that today was simply a long-awaited reunion, Phainon casually announced something in front of them.
“Ah… everyone’s finally here. Come to think of it, it really has been a long time since we were all gathered together like this.”
“Was it… that Christmas a few years ago?”

“Actually… there’s something I wanted to tell everyone. You might find it a little sudden, haha.”
He paused, still wearing that familiar smile.
“Today is the final day of our cafe.”
For a brief moment, the room fell silent.
“…Huh?”
“The last day?”
No one seemed to have expected him to say something like this today.
Phainon simply looked at everything familiar around him and smiled softly.
Those hopes and dreams that had gradually begun to take shape within his heart, along with the next journey he wished to walk toward…
He had been thinking about them for a very long time before this day ever arrived.
It was only today, that he finally decided to tell everyone.

Another Journey
When was it that the soul within him, once so empty, began to yearn for colours different from those it had known before?
That blank, transparent, and even somewhat lonely soul…
When was it that it, too, began to yearn-
To grow wings of its own?
To gaze upward beneath an endless sky of stars, to look toward the vast galaxies, and to imagine all the possibilities that might lie ahead?
Countless points of starlight shimmered within the endless night. Those scattered lights slowly intertwined and connected, becoming one dream after another.
And within the river of time stretching into the future…
How would he write the days that followed? How would he write the rest of his life?
Only by gathering the courage to take that first step could he ever see a landscape he had never seen before,
Only by truly letting go of everything he held in his hands,
Letting go of the dreams within his heart and those blueprints he had once envisioned,
Could they finally begin to take shape.
“I guess… It’s time for me to pursue my own wishes…and dreams.”
“So… perhaps it’s a goodbye for now, haha…”
Only by letting go, could the “blank” finally begin to see the colours hidden within himself.
Only then could that emptied canvas make room for countless voices and colours of its own.
And from that blankness, there would finally be born—
The very first “Wish” of his own.

“My best partner... It's been a while.”
“Everyone is finally here too.”
“...Why the sudden decision, Phainon?”
“If it's too much stress, we can always talk to Aglaea…”
“No, no... It's nothing like that. Not at all.”
“I'm happy with my job as a fashion model and cafe owner…”
“Grateful, even... It started as just a small, humble cafe,”
“and became what it is now... It's something beyond what I ever imagined.”
He looked at all his friends and companions, gathered together in his cafe... Many emotions welled up within him.

“Haha... But I guess, it's time that I…”
“That I begin to chase after my own dreams, my own wishes…”
“Your own dreams... And wishes?”
“Yeah.”
“There are infinite possibilities out there, don't you think?”
“Chef... pilot... painter... magician…”
“Basketball player, stargazer... ah!”
“I might even become a wonderful actor, taking on all kinds of different roles!”
“Just thinking about all of those genuinely excites me, and…”

“It's only when I truly let go…”
“That I can finally begin a new chapter in life, and open the door to discover”
“-what awaits me.”
Translations: 中文, 日本語, 한국어, and Русский
And so, the celebration was held, with heartfelt wishes and sincere greetings from his friends.
Perhaps a faint sense of melancholy lingered amidst the emotional atmosphere, yet...
Rather than looking at it as a sad farewell, perhaps it is also the beginning of a new journey.
The new beginning of a boy's boundless dreams,
And all the possibilities, that await him.
