doll

A small toy representation of a person, designed for interactive play and display. Dolls can be crafted from a variety of materials, including both hard substances like plastic and wood, and soft materials such as cloth and rubber.

Compared to figures, dolls are usually not realistically proportioned.

See doll joints for characters who are human-like living dolls.
