—Afterword— This is such a short manga that an afterword probably isn’t necessary, but since there's some extra space... I tried to give shape to one of my own fantasies about the relationship between Yukari and Renko, based on the theory that Yukari = Merry. (I’m not used to drawing manga, though.) It was difficult to blend Yukari-like and Merry-like traits together in a way that expresses both well, and I still have a long way to go, so I want to keep improving.

Yakumo Yukari (Maribel Hearn) Formerly Merry, who for certain reasons became a youkai. She often comes to Renko’s house to relax. She basically doesn’t hide her smiles in front of Renko, But it seems it’s hard for her to go back to how things used to be. (She can’t shake off habits from over a thousand years.)

Usami Renko She’s happy that Merry has come back, but feels Merry isn’t as straightforward as before. No matter how much Merry changes, Merry is still Merry, so she keeps calling her Merry as always.
