thunder_cross_split_attack

A hamon (jojo) technique by Dire (JoJo) from JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken, which he used against Dio Brando.

"You fell for it, fool! Thunder Cross Split Attack!" - Dire shouts the attack.

"By crossing his arms, he can attack while keeping his guard up! It is the perfect mix of offense and defense!" - Robert E. O. Speedwagon.

"No martial artist has ever successfully defended against it! - Straizo.

However, [spoilers]Dio counters the attack with his Vaporizing Freeze, killing Dire in a very anti-climatic way.[/spoilers]. It gained memetic status over the years, with various memes referencing the scene and the attack pose. Also used in bait-and-switch videos in the vein of Rickroll.
