A member of a professional army, trained, equipped, and armed to fight in a war. They usually wear military uniforms, often with combat helmets and body armor.
For characters which belong to certain special forces, use military operator instead.
Not to be used for irregular combatants or insurgents that aren't uniformed (even if wearing camouflage) or that don't belong to a professional military.
