penlight_(glowstick)
Other names: ペンライト, 应援棒
A hand-held light source used in concerts similar to a glowstick. Unlike a glowstick, penlights are battery-powered as opposed to being chemically-activated. As such, penlights often have a longer handle area where the battery is stored.
Associated with idol culture, both in J-pop and K-pop, where they are often waved at concerts and used to perform wotagei dances.
