Nippon Ichi Software, sometimes shortened as simply "NIS", is a Japanese video game developer company known for their anime-styled series of SRPGs, including Disgaea and Marl Kingdom.

Though largely stand-alone, most games appear to be connected in some form through parallel dimensions or some such and crossovers are normal. Most of the character designs have been done by Ryoji (nomura ryouji) and Harada Takehito.
