kappougi
Other names: 割烹着
A traditional Japanese gown-like apron worn to protect the clothes when cooking. It has baggy sleeves with gathered cuffs terminating just after the elbow, and the torso comes down to the wearer's knees. Sometimes paired with a tenugui (headscarf).
