iceberg
Other names: 氷山, 冰山
A large piece of ice that has broken off a glacier and that floats freely in the ocean. Icebergs vary widely in size and shape, though are usually portrayed as floating mountains of ice.
Due to the buoyancy properties of ice, only 10% of an entire iceberg is visible above water while the remaining 90% is hidden underwater.
