hishaku
Other names: 柄杓, ひしゃく
A cylindrical wooden ladle used for temizu at temizuya, during tea ceremonies, to sprinkle the ground in summer (uchimizu), or by funayūrei in Japanese mythology. For ladles used for cooking, see ladle.
