futou
Other names: 幞头, 幞頭, 烏紗帽, 四腳軟巾, 平脚幞头, 交脚幞頭, 展翅襆頭, 展角幞頭, 翼善冠, 사모
A Chinese black hat with two wing-like flaps; also called toujin, putou.
The Korean samo is similar in design - though a white version is worn during mourning. Also, men who'd never been married would wear the hat with two wings (Yang-gak), and if they ever remarried, one of the wings were removed.
