faulds
Other names: ่ ฐ็ฒ, ่ฃ็ฒ
A type of plate armor protecting the waist and hips, usually attached to the bottom of the cuirass or plackart. They consist of overlapping horizontal sheets that form an apron-like skirt in front.
Tassets are often hung from the fauld to protect the upper thighs.
