conifer

A plant, usually a tree or bush, that is cone-bearing, usually perennial (keeps its leaves in snow), and needle leaved. They are often conical shaped with drooping branches.
Examples of conifers include pine trees, cypresses, spruces, junipers, and yews. Christmas trees are usually conifers.
A pinecone by itself or individual needle leaves alone do not get tagged, but a single branch of a coniferous plant may.
