asashio_(kancolle)

Kantai Collection's personification of the Japanese destroyer Asashio. Character design by Konishi (koconatu), voiced by Miyakawa Wakana.

She has long black hair and blue eyes. She wears a short-sleeved white shirt, arm warmers, a skirt with suspenders and black thighhighs. She holds a quad torpedo launcher and a twin-gun turret and carries a randoseru-shaped structure.

The historical Asashio was completed in August 1937 and sunk in the "Battle of the Bismarck Sea":https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_the_Bismarck_Sea while attempting to rescue survivors from the "Muroto-class collier Nojima":https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muroto-class_collier#Ships_in_class and her sister ship Arashio (kancolle).
