欧州経済の悪化によりクロス円売りの地合いが続く中、週明けに発表された米リーマンブラザーズの破綻により投資家の間で米国の金融不安が広がりドルが大きく売られた。下落したドルの逃避先としてスイスフランが大きく買われたが、世界的に見て比較的経済不安の緩やかである日本円がより大きく買われた結果、スイスフランは一時92円台まで下落した。その後FOMCで発表された政策金利が2％に据え置かれたことを受けてドルが買い戻され、スイスフランは17日朝6時現在94円前後で推移している。　／／

The deteriorating European economy kept exchanging for Japanese Yen as it was announced at the beginning of the week that the bankruptcy of the Lehman Brothers spread financial anxiety in the United States, forcing investors to trade away the Dollar. Many bought the Swiss Franc as it was billed as a refuge for the declining Dollar, but since more people bought the Japanese Yen which had less financial anxiety, 1 Swiss Frank was temporarily worth 92 Yen. After this, the FOMC announced that the federal funds rate would remain at 2%, so people returned to the Dollar, while the Swiss Franc continued to hover around 94 Yen as of 6:00am on the 17th.　／／
