This is the Hakurei Shrine.

...It's awfully run down.

Nobody's here, right?

Merry?

Are you okay?

Yeah... I'm fine.

R̩̻̩̻͂ͭͫ̃̋̍́̀ē̶̫̤̱͇̟͖ͨ̔̀ͪ͘͟i̧ͤ̓͘͟ͅm̲͎ͪ͂̀͜ű̮̱̤ͤ̈́̐̎̂

Anyway...

This is an awfully strong barrier. Someone must have set it on purpose.

I wonder if the shrine itself is actually the barrier.

Hey, Merry. It looks like no-one's here. Let's go in.

Oh.

You're taking off your shoes even though it's abandoned?

Of course. It's the Japanese way.

Hmmm...

Merry?

There's a very large barrier here.

........Yes.

Wow!

But the gap... it doesn't look like there's an entrance.

Mmm, well, I wonder if it was shut off, then.

We'll find another-

No.

If there isn't one, we'll just have to make one.

Merry!?

I've always wondered.

This bizarre dream, where you can't tell what's real and what's not...

...but now that I've come here, I understand.

That place is the next world.

The other side of this boundary.

She's controlling the boundary----

The world I've been looking for is right here.

Merry, stop!

You won't be able to come back!

*kshing*

Renko.

Which world is real?

...Merry?

Merryyyyyyyyyyyyyy!

Traveling back through time...

Crossing over dimensions.

Dreams?

Reality?

Somebody's memories?

This short journey comes to an end.

What's on the other side--

This place is neither dream nor reality.

It is illusion.

You mustn't go any farther.

Who...?

Me?

You're such a handful.

You and I look alike, but we're like mirror images.

We may look alike, but we're complete opposites.

We can't be in the same place together.

You're still a denizen of reality.

Now, it's time to go back.

Your friend is worried about you.

Renko...

Still, crossing the Great Hakurei Barrier by yourself...

Maybe I'd better strengthen the barrier a little more.

Huh!?

Uh, um...

Does that mean I won't be able to see the other side anymore!?

Don't worry.

If you come to this side knowing that it's a dream,

Gensokyo will accept everything.

Gensokyo...

Now,

it's time to go.

Return.

Child of the age of science.

Wait,

What's your name--

Merry!

...Renko?

Then I'm...

baaaaAAA>O{#@$Y#

Ahh, Merry, you stupid stupid stupid stupid idiot for going over by yourself! Stupid!

Yes,

I'm back.

Hey, Renko.

The other world

is called Gensokyo, it seems.

The end.
