一番輝く星は、輝くことを諦めない星。
安らかに眠ってください、ハルウララ。

グラスワンダーの絵を仕上げたちょうどその時、ハルウララが9月8日に亡くなったという知らせが届きました。
「負け続けた者たちの輝く星」と言われたその言葉の通り、本当に素晴らしい存在でした。

今回のイラストについて：とてもシンプルですが、「芝を駆け抜け、星となり、やがて空へ届きますように」という思いを込めました。そういう形になりました。

改善点をメモしていたのに、ちゃんと守れたかは正直分かりません… でも自分にしてはかなり早く完成させることができました。

芝や葉っぱには素材を使ってみたのですが、最初は本当にひどい出来で…。芝はなんとか形になったと思うけれど、葉っぱの方はあまり…（笑）。素材を使うと制約も感じましたが、一枚一枚葉っぱを描く気力もなくて。怠け者ですね。

とはいえ、まだ描きたいウマ娘はたくさんいます（すでに3枚ラフを描きました）。ですが今は少し方向を変えて、他の作品にも取り組もうと思っています。燃え尽きないように、少し分散させないと。前回の投稿でも触れましたが、オリジナルの作品を載せたり、ファンアートでも改めて描き直したいものがいくつかあります。

それと…本当は勉強にも戻らなきゃいけないんですが、つい後回しにしてしまいます。

あとは――願わくば「ゴッドシップ」が、あまりにも早く旅立ってしまわないことを祈るばかりです…。

Just as I finished the illustration of Grass Wonder, I received the news that Haru Urara passed away on September 8th.
She truly was a wonderful being—just as the words said, "the shining star of those who kept on losing."

About this illustration:

It’s very simple, but I created it with the thought:
“May she race across the turf, become a star, and someday reach the sky.”
That’s the shape it took in the end.

I had written down some things I wanted to improve on, but honestly, I’m not sure if I stuck to them... Still, for me, I finished this one rather quickly.

I tried using some materials/textures for the grass and leaves, but at first, it turned out terribly... I think I managed to make the turf work, but the leaves... not so much (lol). Using materials brought some limitations, but I didn’t have the energy to draw every single leaf by hand. Lazy, I know.

That said, there are still so many Uma Musume I want to draw (I've already sketched three rough drafts). But for now, I think I’ll shift direction a bit and work on some other pieces too. I need to spread out my energy so I don’t burn out.
As I mentioned in my last post, I’d like to share some original work as well, and there are a few fan arts I want to revisit and redraw too.

Also… I really need to get back to studying, but I keep putting it off.
