いつしか私は極彩色の歯車の上にいる。

美しい歌が過ぎ去っていった。
私のための歌ではなかった。
ただ前を向く意志が過ぎ去っていった。
私は前ではなく彼女の背中だけを見ていた。

ああ、彼女の背中だけが見える。
もう、彼女の背中しか見えない。
ただがむしゃらに走るしかないのだ。
その揺らめく背に向かって。

私という1つの生き物が
攪拌され、希釈され、再構築され、
ただ彼女を追うための

自分が何者でなぜここにいるのか、
徐々にわからなくなってきた。
喧噪が遠い。
歓声なのか怒号なのかもわからない。

ぐちゃぐちゃにかき回された世界で、
彼女を追う1本の糸のような道筋だけが
どこまでも静かだった。

黄金の歯車が廻る。
彼女に触れようと手を伸ばす。

I run. And run. And run... But it's not enough to pass the obstacles between us, let alone catch her.

I turn. Again. Again. Around I go... Up... and down. My mind reels—colors blur past—like I'm running atop a giant gear.

And then, I hear someone singing. It's beautiful... but the song isn't meant for me. I think... this whole time, I wasn't looking ahead of me. I was just watching her back.

That's right. All I saw was her. I couldn't see anything else. I wasn't running cleanly—I was running desperately, frantically... just trying not to lose sight of that faint shadow.

There's something stirring in me, diluting the essence of what I was. Transforming me into another gear on the track, chasing her loop after loop.

With each revolution, I lose more of myself. The clamor feels so far away. I can't make out whether the blurred mob shouts in cheer or fury.

As it all melts together into an indiscernible cacophony, one thing alone remains quiet and true—a thin thread—the path cleared in your wake.
