ふと脳裏を過る記憶の情景。
紫煙を肺に満たし、ただ無感動に男は追想する。

日陰を歩み、屍を積み重ねてきた半生。
その犠牲を、あの笑顔を忘れることなく、
男はその願望機へと手を伸ばす。

As he puffs on a cigarette for a momentary respite, a scene from his memory comes to mind. He is emotionless in the face of these recollections as smoke fills his lungs. Almost half of his life was spent walking in the shadows as he piled corpses upon corpses. Yet the man never forgets the sacrifice, nor the girl's smile, as he reaches for the wish-granting device.
