Yet another DESCEND concept art practice for environments involving silhouettes and atmospheric perspective. This time I was able to incorporate some more haze effect.

Having around 5-7 shades of basic grays for the scenery and then adding mist effect between them works fairly well. Finally painting the colors indiscriminately with large soft brush works wonders. The scenery is just loose scribbles with just enough detail to distinguish the identity (leaf, grass, bush, stone, stump, trunk).

Descending trough the forest will be quite a dreadful undertaking.
