In just one month, they got worse and worse, until they all passed away.At the time, we thought it was the work of a curse or some god, so we took them to a temple and prayed every day and called magicians and everything...But no one could begin to imagine it was something called a "virus".My mother was a concubine, so it's not like I was especially close with them...But seeing how they looked and got weaker by the day really left its mark on me.Many hundred years later, I learned what smallpox actually was...but it's not something I can forget, so I still have this spell card named after that terrible curse.
