A commemorative day established on this date by the Japanese Maneki Neko Club because of the pun with "coming fortune"!
The pun:
Coming fortune โ kuru fuku โ ku(ru) fuku โ ku(9) fu(2) ku(9)They say that, depending on the paw it's raising, the blessing of a maneki-neko has a different meaning!Personal relationships - Social interactionMoney - Fortune - Good luck
The last two are also kind of synonyms in the original Japanese as well.If you give me Chuuru, I'll grant both blessings!
Ciao Chuuru: a pet food brand.
