While this is a perfectly natural reaction, maybe it’s an implanted safety mechanism to make sure Kosuzu-chan doesn’t dig herself in too deep! Which would be my head­canon.

Since the shoulders of her kimono are raised, her age is probably at around 12 or 13 years old or quite possibly, she’s a really short woman. (This will also appear on the test.)
