As it has not been isolated, despite having been hypothesized to exist since the 1930s, it has been suggested that it does not exist and that flowering is controlled by a combination of other hormones; however, recent research indicates that it must exist, and putative florigens have been identified in some plants.

Sutoma Jen A glasses girl admitted in the same class as Storigo. Due to skipping grades, she's in high school despite only being 12 years old. Still, she also has unique powers. Stomagen, discovered in 2009, is a hormone responsible for controlling the density of stoma (pores for gas intake) on the surface of plant leaves.

Gibberelins influence developmental processes such as germination and flowering. They were discovered by a Japanese scientist studying bakanae, a disease in which an excess of gibberellic acid causes hypertrophy, eventually causing the plant to collapse under its own weight.
