Just like the harvest was originally represented by the snake, until the fox stole the position.Do you know what happened to the fox after it borrowed the tiger's might?The tiger got angry and threw the fox down a hole... I believe?Exactly.In Buddhist tellings, the Buddha comes to save the fox, but I doubt it was that convenient.
The fox probably just starved to death.
