地元で発行されている情報誌『RARE』（レア）では、毎年クリスマス企画で読者の愛車をイラストにしています。昨年の抽選では企画当初から応募されていた方が当選されました。購入されたPOLOの納車を待って描かせて頂きました。この企画は何故か完成までが長くなるんですが、今回は僕自身が最近のドイツ車が苦手というのもありました。その理由は、非常に神経質に感じるスタイリングなんですよね。図面をフリーハンドで描いている感覚というか、不正確な線を許せない気分にさせられるんですよね。でも、そういう所が気に入ってもいるので、いつかゆっくり向き合いたい車ですね。

The locally published information magazine "RARE" (Rare) illustrates readers' beloved cars for its annual Christmas project. Last year, one of the applicants who had applied for the project from the beginning won the drawing. We waited for the delivery of the POLO he had purchased to draw it. For some reason, this project takes a long time to complete, but this time it was partly because I myself am not very good at drawing recent German cars. The reason is that the styling makes me feel very nervous. It's like freehanding a drawing, and I can't tolerate inaccurate lines. But I like this aspect of the car, and I would like to face this car slowly someday.
