ヴィクトリアスは空母不足に悩む米海軍の要請に応えて1943年1月から9月にかけて太平洋に派遣されます。
　この時建前的に与えられた米空母としての名前がUSSロビンです。どうもロビン・フットのロビンらしい。コマドリの方じゃないのか……。
　ヴィクトリアスはノーフォークとパールハーバーでの対空武装強化と化粧直しを経て、主に艦載飛行隊の輸送に従事、実質サラトガの後援に徹しました。日本が攻勢をかけてこなかったため本格的な前線運用は免れたようです。
　横から見ると米海軍のメジャー21迷彩そのものですが、飛行甲板に部分的に迷彩が残っているのが特徴です。
　ヌーメアでサラトガと並んでる写真が残っているのでこの構図に。
　サラトガ的には姉と妹分たちを軒並み沈められて唯一残ったエンタープライズもドック入りという状況。なかなか心細かったでしょうね。

　搭載機はTBFとF4Fが確認できますが、後者は塗装が2種類あって、三色迷彩の方はイギリス向け仕様のマートレットらしいです。

When viewed from the side, it looks like the US Navy's Major 21 camouflage, but it is characterized by the camouflage partially remaining on the flight deck.

You can see that she has a TBF and an F4F, but the latter has two types of paint, and the three-color camouflage seems to be a Martlet designed for the UK.
