It's been a while since I posted any Pokemon art...

This is not really an original idea - I referenced a card from Magic: The Gathering TCG for the colours and concept. (Just in case you are curious, the card is Shadow of Doubt by Greg Staples.)

Just a short bit about the concept: Darkrai is supposed to be the incarnation of nightmares (correct me if I'm wrong), so this pic depicts it sending out (or being formed from) nightmares. So I skipped its lower-half 'skirt' to show the swirl of nightmares.

Anyways, Darkrai is one of my favourite new Legendary Pokemon (other than Sheimi, Giratina and Fione). It's looks pretty neat for a Dark type, although by its nightmarish design, I swear it should be a Ghost type as well - but that would make it way too strong Sweating a little...

. Seriously though, isn't there a Legendary overkill in DP? I have a feeling Nintendo creates more Legendaries just to continue making movies - after all, they've already stuffed Dialga, Palkia AND Darkrai in the next one...

Oh yeah, this pic is wallpaper-sized (really, it's a coincidence :D (Big Grin)

), so you can download it to your desktop. Just don't steal it!
