Heya, it has been quite some time.

I wouldn't say that a lot of things have happened during my hiatus, though I would like to only blame it solely on my lack of organising. The amount of stress and my vision for the future, my dreams, crumbled multiple times under the pressure of not being able to do simple tasks. I'm just not happy with who I am now. But it is what it is, and we must keep moving forward. Push that voice inside your head aside and start doing what you have to do. Eventually, our efforts will pay off. Though I do know that simply words won't do, and I know that all of you have heard this advice before. But there's a reason why they're being repeated, keep that in mind.

So, here's a little reminder for you all out there who's in the midst of struggling,

It's ok to cry, it's ok to let out whatever needs to be. Free your tears and let them flow. Soon enough, through that foggy mist, you’ll be able to see through your thoughts. Crying isn’t a form of showing weakness, it’s a form of letting your burdens go in a stream of sadness.

Alright, with that out of my mind, onto our art piece here.

I am super proud of this one. It took one whole week to finish this piece since during the weekdays I didn’t have that much time. Heck, during these past weeks I couldn’t do anything at all. My drawing practice was kept to a bare minimum, yet I am glad that I kept up the grind. I watched plenty of videos on how to shade, and I am super happy with how it turned out when I tried it out. At first, I failed to do the hair strokes since I couldn’t understand where to start. But once I looked deep enough, slowly but surely, I got the hang of it.
It's super fascinating to see the final product.
Although I will have to work on the highlights and the colouring of the tears because I feel like the shading done to them seems underwhelming compared to the hair or the eyes. So, I’ll have to work on that in the following weeks whenever I have time.

That should be it for now. I cannot guarantee an art piece next week because I have mountains of work to do, but I’ll see what I can do.
