Let's find ourselves another planet...

Broadly speaking, there are two fates a planet could meet:

1. It is consumed by an expanding star and disintegrates.

2. It falls out of orbit, drifting into deep space and freezing.

Whatever the case, there is no such thing as "eternity" there.
