The reasons for why the people gathered here are concerned about you

are certainly, truly varied.

It could be because their lives depend on it,

it could be because you’re the Hakurei shrine maiden,

it could even be because they just have nothing else to do,

it could be a part of their extraordinarily profound plan,

it could be any of that.

...But,

it would be useless to think about such things.

But,

one thing,

there is only one thing that can be said.

Just for the sake of you living.

Just because you’re a shrine maiden.

Just there not being anything to do.

Just being for the sake of an objective.

Those alone do not make anyone smile.

Those gathered here,

one and all,

don't they all smile quite often?

That is absolutely

because everyone likes you.

... Although I said that.

*chuckle*

Though I don’t know

whether it’s “good will” or “inquisitiveness”,

you know?

Although,

Yeah?

Because,

look,

shouldn’t you smile too?

Even a bitter smile is good,

Even if you’re getting angry, I won’t care.

If you can’t even smile,

if you even forgot how to smile,

they’re all around you.

People you can conveniently depend on.

We are not alone.

Whether gathered here,

living here,

every person that lives under the leaves of the roof

will always lend you a shoulder.

... That

is what we're willing to do.

Mm, perhaps.

That's what I think.
