The exploration team climbed the stairs up from the waterway and got their first taste of the city.
It was full of straight lines and regular, boxy shapes. Nothing like their home up river!
"Listen, everyone," Uno said, "If people know we're from the country, they'll make fun of us.
We've got to pretend we're city pokemon!"
Just then, an Indeedee called out to them.
"Oh my! We don't see pokemon like you here every day.
Did you come here to do some sight-seeing with your trainer?"
They were blown away by how neat and tidy and sophisticated she was.
Uno acted fast, getting everyone to strike some of the "City Boy Poses" Scorch had taught them.
・Lean against a wall while looking the other way!
・Hold a drinks cup in one hand while looking the other way!
・Play around with your cuffs while looking the other way!
・Act like your neck hurts while looking the other way!
And then, finally, say something cool. Like, "Bubble Tea!"
"Teehee. Well, I hope you enjoy your stay♪"
With those words of welcome, the city pokemon went on her way.
The exploration team had kept their country roots a secret. Probably.
Rowly was really impressed. "Wow... I'm glad you're on our side, Uno."
In all the excitement, they'd forgotten to ask where to get curry, though...
