Manganji

The history of the Manganji peppers comes from the suburbs of Manganji City, Kyoto, in a settlement in Mangaji where the ancient Manganji temple is. Allegedly it was created somewhere between the Taisho and early Showa periods through natural cross pollination between the Fushimi pepper and North American native California Wonder.
