I managed to sort the responses we got.

But there's not anything really useful here.

Songs

Books

There's a lot of overlap, too.

Signs

As for the most common...

Signs for the annual festival disappeared.

Cards in a deck of Hyakunin Isshu are missing.

The rental book store lost some of its stock.

And the sword from the pawn shop is gone.

That's about all there is.

Going missing doesn't mean they were erased though, right?

It's not so much these things are missing, more that it feels like they were never there to begin with.

Take the cards based on the Hyakunin Isshu. The name implies there'd be one hundred poets in the collection.

But instead, there are only eighty.

And everyone feels as though there were only ever eighty cards in the deck.

People remember putting away the festival signs last year, but they're not there now.

With the bookstore, it was just the ghost story section that felt lacking.

As for the pawn shop, apparently the manager had an old sword he took great care of, but more recently no one's seen it around.

Hmm...
