Afterword Kidzuki Kaya here. Thank you very much for picking up this book. This ended up a book full of new characters I was drawing for the first time. Wakasagihime is so cute. I thought of her as the main character, but Banki-chan ended up getting more page space. Shy girls are so cute. Kagerou feels like a helpful big sister type, always telling the lake-locked Hime about the things she's seen. Banki-chan tends to listen from a bit farther away. Cirno just barges in every now and then.

I really liked the idea of, you know, a place where everyone just naturally gathers. That's the sort of story this was. Anyway, Wakasagihime definitely has a beautiful singing voice. She is a mermaid, after all, and cute too. She seems like the type to hide when she realizes someone's watching. I just wanted to make Banki-chan call her a leanan sidhe. Thinking of these two having some connection to Ireland just makes my heart flutter. Dullahan and whatnot. (A princess and a knight...!) I just enjoy the silly idea of it coming back to a reaper or banshee or such. Connecting those to Japanese youkai is fun too. I'm a huge fan of folklore and old stories in general, so the DDC girls give me a lot of material to get fired up thinking about their origins. I accidentally pulled an all-nighter just researching the sisters' names (go to sleep).

This is my second time participating at Winter Comiket. It's been just about two years since I started working on doujin. Only two years. Two years already. It feels like it's gone by so quickly, but I also feel like a total novice with still so much to improve on. There's still a lot I want to draw, so I think I should relax but also give it my all, and keep working hard. Thank you very much for reading.
