The title is a pun on the words "Fainting Story" (失神/話 → 失/神話).

My original idea was just "It sure would be spooky if Kosuzu's faintings until now had all been fake", but the book ended up sort of roundabout. Hmm. Spooky, huh. When it comes to mind even just once, it's an unbreakable curse for the rest of your life. They say that laying a curse on someone will always come back to haunt you, but the moment that you think about cursing someone, you're already cursed yourself. Or rather, the reason that I want to curse you is because I'm cursed as well.

It's good if there's a curse on you as well.
